Patient and Professional Education
Patient Education
As a university hospital, the UConn Health Center is deeply committed to educating men and women in our region about health issues and new advances in care.
Experts with the New England Musculoskeletal Institute provide free lectures for the community through the Health Center’s ongoing
Discovery Series and the popular Celebrate Women
membership program.
Often, these programs air statewide through the Connecticut Network, which is carried on most cable systems statewide.
Professional Education
Experts with the New England Musculoskeletal Institute collaborate with the UConn Health Center’s Office of Continuing and Community Education, to
offer educational seminars and Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for physicians and other caregivers throughout the state. Our goal is to advance the understanding of the
many diverse issues that affect musculoskeletal health. Along with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and trainers, the New England Musculoskeletal Institute
also reaches out to dentists and offers Continuing Education programs in conjunction with the Center for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry and the UConn School of Dental Medicine.
